"Oddball New York" was started in 1999 and finished in 2001. I shot about 2000 photos (pre-digital) almost every day for those two years, edited down to 200 for the book, and released it September 5, 2001. "Oddball New York" remains my favorite project because it involved the discovery of self while investigating the city of my birth. A lot of people contributed to its creation to whom I'm ever grateful. |
ECHO OF FUTURE PAST (1982) was a 7 issue comic book series featuring "Tippie Toe Jones". Tippie Toe Jones was created in the early 70's to rival my long-time pal Steve Grant's original Tippie Toe Philip character. I had the notion of making TTJ the first anti-establishment cartoon character (a cussing, crude, rude lovable rogue). How was I to know 20 years later that would become the norm in such cartoons as "The Simpsons," "South Park," etc.? |
